Mdes Alexandros Ioannou Peletie

Alexandros Ioannou Peletie has been active in the field of non-formal learning for young people since 2014. He is the founder of Tesura, an initiative that encourages the reuse of waste, sharing the philosophy of the circular economy, offering practical workshops on recycling, reuse and environmental education. At the same time, in collaboration with other NGOs in Cyprus and abroad, it has offered training to young people mainly, 18 – 35, through EU programs such as the European Solidarity Corps and Erasmus+, on topics such as social entrepreneurship, sustainability and personal development.In 2017 he received the national award for his environmental actions from the Environmentalist Movement and in 2018 he won the Hellenic Green Business Idea Competition, creating a biodegradable material that can replace single-use plastic. He currently works at CARDET organization, where he manages European programs and trainings on climate change, sustainable development goals and entrepreneurship.
