PhD Andrei Aksjonov

I was born in Tallinn, Estonia. I received my BSC, MSC, and PhD in electrical engineering with automation specialization from Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia in 2013, 2015, and 2019, respectively. The title of the PhD thesis is “Research and Development of Computational–Intelligence–Based Safety Systems for Ground Vehicles.” The thesis is a result of cooperation between TalTech and ŠKODA Auto a.s. in a framework of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Program under Grant 675999.During my studies I also served at several companies and institutions in my home country and abroad. For instance, Vertex Estonia AS (Estonia), IPG Automotive GmbH (Germany), Virtual Vehicle GmbH (Austria), Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany) My research interests include computational intelligence, machine learning, human-machine interface, vehicle safety, and autonomous vehicles.
