Description of VR/AR/MR interest, experience, expertise
I am working on the research and development of VR/AR/MR applications since the early 2000s. Staring with location-based mixed reality and mixed modality games. Here I developed AR UI frameworks and applications for wearable computers with optical-see-through displays. Later I developed a number of AR social mapping and navigation applications. Currently, I am working on VR-based industrial training integrating VR applications with learning management systems and industrial CAD software and gamification in the Immerse2Learn project (https://immerse2learn.de/). In addition, we are building VR digital twins of machines and AR-based production assistance systems for additive manufacturing. A key subject of my work is interaction design and security with a focus on fine-grained access control and privacy in industrial and mixed reality applications.
